ZenithOptimedia promotes Corcoran to lead sponsorship

LONDON - ZenithOptimedia has promoted Andy Corcoran to the post of sponsorship manager within its specialist sponsorship division Alliance.

Corcoran joined ZenithOptimedia in 1999 as a TV buyer. In his most recent role as sponsorship executive, he negotiated Kenco Rapport's £1.5m sponsorship deal across Channel 4 and E4's youth programming to help meet the brand's objective of reaching a younger audience.

Tim Brady, managing director of Alliance, said the promotion reflected Corcoran's progress and his negotiation skills.

"Andy has played a leading role in negotiating a number of sponsorship deals on behalf of clients within the ZenithOptimedia portfolio. His background in TV buying brings an analytical edge to our proposition, as well as excellent negotiating skills," Brady said.

Brady, whose media career spans 20 years, is a former ITV head of sponsorship. He joined ZenithOptimedia in March 2001 to launch Alliance.

ZenithOptimedia has 166 offices in 59 countries and is a joint venture between Publicis Group and Cordiant Communications.
