YouGov named brand of the year at award ceremony

LONDON - Market research firm YouGov has been named 'brand of the year' at the annual Business XL 10 Company of the Year awards.

At the award ceremony held in London, YouGov was praised by judges for retaining its brand value and its innovation.

Nadhim Zahawi, chief executive and co-founder of YouGov, said: "The award acknowledges our commitment to building and maintaining a leading brand associated with high quality, accurate and timely research."

Latest figures for YouGov, which was founded seven years ago, show a growth in turnover of 200% to £9.5m for the year ending 2006 and a 68% increase in profit to £3.2m in the UK for the first half of the year.
