Organiser, The Dales Party Company, plans to reschedule for 2012 and is now looking for suitable venues in the Harrogate area to meet its new requirements.
The Dales Party Company director Caroline Parker said: "We are extremely disappointed to have to make this tough decision, and would like to thank all our sponsors, exhibitors and advertisers for their support and understanding over the past week."
"Unfortunately the event did not receive the level of exhibitors necessary and we hope by rescheduling the event we can achieve what we set out to. We are of course refunding everyone who bought tickets in advance, anyone concerned should contact us directly for more information."
The organisers are now looking to move the event to an outdoor space, maximising the entertainment side to attract visitors whatever stage their family is at.
