The deal with Oodle marks a move away from just business listings for Yell.com and gives the site's users access to second-hand goods such as cars, and also job listings, accommodation listings and event or concert tickets.
Yell.com is already providing business listings for two million businesses, shops and services.
Oodle is an aggregator of local search listings, and will trawl hundreds of classified ad sites such as Jobsgroup, Look4aproperty, Hotproperty and Ebay.
Duncan Dunlop, general manager of Oodle UK, said: "One of the trends in convergence is the combination of business listings and classifieds.
"Now consumers don't see why there should be differentiation between the two. There is no doubt that classifieds and business listings are converging online."
Last year, Media Week revealed that Oodle.com had partnered with Thesun.co.uk to provide it with Sun Local.
The company also launched student.oodle.co.uk, which provides classifieds for 85 campus and college towns.
Oodle has a presence in 29 UK cities and makes its money through the advertising it carries on its search engine.
In 2005 it launched in the US, where it has 17 million active listings from 60,000 sources.
