Yahoo! loses fourth senior manager as Canada boss quits

Mark Rubinstein, managing director of internet portal Yahoo! Canada, has become the fourth international manager to leave the company in the past month.

LONDON (Brand Republic) - Mark Rubinstein, managing director of internet portal Yahoo! Canada, has become the fourth international manager to leave the company in the past month.

Rubinstein has been with Yahoo! for about a year and is leaving to pursue other business interests, particularly in the broadcasting industry, according to a Yahoo! spokeswoman.

His departure follows that of the shock exit in London of Fabiola Arrendondo, head of European Operations; Savio Chow, head of Asian operations; and Jin Youm, chief executive of Yahoo! Korea.

The latest departure coincides with Yahoo鈥檚 board of directors announcing it has adopted a stockholder rights plan that is designed to prevent hostile takeover moves. Rights will be distributed to stockholders at the rate of one right for each share on March 20 and each right will initially entitle stockholders to buy one share of a series of preferred stock for $250 (£170.81).
