WTTC strikes $5m travel promotion deal with broadcasters

LONDON - The World Travel & Tourism Council has struck a $5m commercial deal with CNBC, Sky News and National Geographic.

The three-year agreement will see the broadcasters provide ad airtime and direct marketing activity globally for WTTC to promote the travel and tourism industry.

WTTC ads will appear on CNBC's TV channels and in CNBC Business magazine, as well as online at CNBC.com .

National Geographic will provide airtime to promote WTTC's Global Travel and Tourism Summit next year in Beijing, as well as its Tourism for Tomorrow Awards. 

Ads will also air on Sky News in Europe and be streamed online on National Geographic websites and on its dedicated travel and tourism portal.

WTTC is the business community's forum for the travel and tourism industry.
