WSJ secures energy report sponsor

LONDON - The Wall Street Journal has signed an advertising deal worth more than $1m (£510,000) with energy provider Vestas Wind Systems.

The commercial tie-up, launched this week, will feature advertising for Vestas in The Journal Energy Report, the business paper's 12-page pull-out that focuses on the energy sector.

The Energy Report, which will be published every quarter, includes news, features and analysis about the global energy production sector.

As part of the commercial tie-up, Vestas will take over the global homepage of WSJ.com on 27 February, the same day as the energy company releases its annual report.

Peter Kruse, senior vice-president at Vestas, said The Wall Street Journal Energy Report should help reach the energy industry executives it is seeking an "active dialogue" with.
