
The agency, which will be renamed Gambit H&K, employs 22 people and had revenues of 拢1.9m for the year ended December 31 2001 and net assets of 拢300,000 as at the same date.
Gambits' clients include Cisco Systems, Procter & Gamble, Motorola, Guinness UDV, Business Software Alliance, DHL, Findus Norway, Royal Norwegian Airforce and Hoffmann-La Roche.
In a statement, WPP said: "The acquisition of Gambit reinforces H&K's Nordic offer and continues WPP's strategy of strengthening its networks in important markets and sectors."
Yesterday, it was announced that Howard Paster, the Hill & Knowlton chairman and CEO, is to move to parent company WPP to become executive vice-president of public relations/public affairs. He is to be replaced at the agency by Australian Paul Taaffe.
