WPP buys creative agency Digit to boost GT Network

LONDON - Digital creative agency Digit has been bought by the WPP Group to sit alongside its other digital agencies in the GT Network.

The Hoxton-based company has 22 staff and will continue to be run as a separate entity.

Financial details of the acquisition have not been disclosed by WPP. The acquisition has been undertaken by Richard Davies, chairman of the GT Network, which was created in September last year to bring together WPP agencies Good Technology, Incline and XM London.

was founded by Daljit Singh and is headed by chief executive officer Andy Chambers.

The agency recently won a place on the NHS digital roster and also picked up work from Vodafone and Motorola.

It has also worked on projects for the ad agency St Luke's, fashion designer Stella McCartney and Sky+.
