
Cook, who previously worked as general manager, joined Woodhouse as an apprentice back in 1983.
The company provides nationwide hire of marquees, tradestands, grandstands, stables and trackway and has long-standing relationships with events including The Royal Windsor Horse Show and The British Military Tournament.
Tony Marsh, managing director said: "Peter’s appointment is in recognition of the responsibility he currently holds in the business. Twenty twelve is an important year to us as we continue to meet the challenges of supplying our regular customers and we are getting ready to fulfill one of our biggest and most prestigious contracts. Peter’s knowledge of the show and event sector and dedication has been invaluable to the business as we have grown this year so I’m delighted that he has accepted the directorship of the company."
The firm recently achieved independent BS8901 and ISO14001 certification for Sustainability in Events and Management systems.
