Wolf Blass plots cricket activity around Ashes test

LONDON - Wolf Blass has appointed Steam UK to handle its direct marketing and experiential activity surrounding the England cricket team's domestic Test matches and the Ashes series this year.

The FGL Wine Estates brand will run an SMS competition with the prize of tickets to this winter's Ashes tour in Australia.

It has also signed a deal with cash-and-carry retailers to run in-store experiential activity, offering customers the chance to win prizes by bowling at a set of stumps.

Other experiential activity will take place around cricket grounds throughout the summer as England take on Sri Lanka and Pakistan.

Wolf Blass has signed a deal making it the official partner of the English Test Match grounds until 2008.
