Wireless puts tickets on hold for locals

Wireless festival organiser Live Nation has announced a special ticket initiative for local residents of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London.

A number of tickets have been reserved for those living in the boroughs of Hackney, Newham, Waltham Forest and Tower Hamlets until the end of the day tomorrow (Tuesday 26 February).

The passes, priced the same as standard tickets – £57.50 plus a £7 booking fee – can be found through a link on the . Live Nation would not confirm exactly how many were being held back.

Standard tickets for the two-day event, headlined by Justin Timberlake and Jay-Z from 12-13 July, have now sold out on the site, however there are still a number of VIP packages available.

As previously reported, along with its sister show Hard Rock Calling, after Live Nation lost its contract for the park to AEG Live.
