
The team will be responsible for marketing activity to promote the Trusts' vision of ‘living landscapes and living seas'. Roles will include head of marketing, head of people and wildlife and fundraising manager. The team is intended to be in place by October and will report to chief executive Stephanie Hilborne.
Four posts were made redundant and two members of staff accepted voluntary redundancy to help fund the new team. The team will be a significant addition to the Trusts' head-office staff of 30 people.
There are 47 local Wildlife Trusts across the UK, the Isle of Man & Alderney. It has 765,000 members, and is the biggest UK voluntary organisation dedicated to conserving the UK's wildlife habitats and species.
It manages 2256 nature reserves covering more than 90,000 hectares and aims to conserve wildlife as well as inspire people about the natural world and foster sustainable living.
