The event is part of Malaysia Kitchen, a programme that promotes Malaysian restaurants, food, beverage and products in the UK, which the agency manages and deliver on behalf of Matrade.
This year's Malaysia Night, which is in its fifth year, is expected to be attended by more than 40,000 visitors, which will see over 20 different Malaysian restaurants, Anglo-Malaysian business representatives as well as cultural performances, singers and artists showcase the very best of the region in the heart of the capital.
Highlights this year include live cookery demonstrations by 2014’s MasterChef winner Ping Coombes, who is from Malaysia, and MasterChef 2011 winner Dhruv Baker alongside Malaysian TV chef and YouTube phenomenon Caroline Mili Artiss.
Khairul Nizam Moonier, trade commissioner for Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation, said: "We are excited to be once again taking over London’s Trafalgar Square for Malaysia Night. It’s a great opportunity for us to show Britain the array of food and drink unique to Malaysia, as well as introduce them to Malaysian culture."
Stuart Knight, senior partner at whynot! said, "This is the fifth Malaysian Night we’ve produced on behalf of Matrade and is all set to be the biggest event to date. We are particularly excited that we will have a large market at the event representing the huge choice of Malaysian food now available in the UK."
