LONDON - Chris White-Smith, managing director of Newsquest sales house Newsquest Media Sales, is to stay with the company rather than leave, as was previously reported.

In June, it emerged White-Smith was leaving Newsquest to join former Telegraph Media Group managing director Len Sanderson at digital communications company ImJack as commercial director.

ImJack provides services such as secure websites to schools and colleges, and is run by chief executive Sanderson and Richard Addis, head of content and former Daily Express editor.

White-Smith was to join ImJack to develop new business models and revenue streams for the company, but since then the business model has changed.

As ImJack will not be primarily funded by advertising and sponsorship, White-Smith is understood to have entered into discussions with Newsquest and decided to stay at the company.

White-Smith was group sales director at TMG, but left after its purchase by the Barclay brothers and joined Newsquest in January 2006.
