What's on TV site launches with Butlins' deal

LONDON - IPC has launched the What's on TV website and signed a three-month deal with Butlins, which gives the holiday firm all advertising spots on the site

Butlins will also feature in promotional activity within the What's on TV magazine and has taken out full-page advertorials in IPC Media's TVTimes and TV Easy magazines.

Butlins is using banners, skyscrapers and videos across , featuring the slogan, "What are you up to this weekend? Do something different". The ads target the youth market with the tagline "Great escapes with mates", specifically promoting Butlins 'party weekends'.

Visitors clicking through are taken to a splash page at , which has been put in place so that revellers can book their place.

Jackie Martin, Butlins's sales and marketing director, said: "IPC Weeklies Creative Solutions has worked tirelessly to integrate our brand and communication messages on and offline, delivering a marketing campaign that provides real standout and impetus to our marketing objectives for 2007."

Whatsontv.co.uk offers readers a multi-channel TV listings guide, TV news and gossip, coverage of all the major soaps, previews of the day's must-see shows, and an in-depth TV film guide.

Philippa Brown, IPC tx managing director, added: "We are delighted to be launching whatsontv.co.uk and we are thrilled to have the support of Butlins in this three-month deal."
