The London venue has updated its Henry Wellcome Auditorium – able to accommodate 154 delegates theatre-style – which is paired with breakout area the Williams Lounge. Four smaller meeting rooms called Franks, Steel, Dale and Burroughs, which have also been updated, offer a flexible set-up, computerised signage screens outside each room and inside the spaces benefit from built-in AV equipment, fully accessible, with built-in induction loops.
The Medicine Now gallery, which can host evening drinks receptions for up to 200 guests, has also been updated and gained a new £1.1m staircase offering access to the space.
The event spaces within the conference centre have also been updated in line with architects Wilkinson Eyre’s holistic approach to the design, using soft furnishings and a bold purple and teal colour palette.
Daniel Caleb, event spaces manager at the Wellcome Collection, said: "We are very excited to reveal the changes to the venue, they will provide delegates with fresh and reinvigorated spaces to hold their events. Part of Wellcome Collection’s on-going commitment to improving the delegate experience, we hope the refurbishment will highlight the venue as a destination of choice."
