Weekly magazine for cinema goers to launch next month

LONDON - An independent free weekly film guide magazine, Take 1, launches next month and will be available in UCI, independent cinemas and central London retail outlets.

The glossy A5 magazine is aimed at 21- to 45-year-old men and women who want the latest film news, DVD reviews and interviews with major actors appearing in the big releases.

Launched independently from publisher Elizabeth Hackford, the London-based title will have an initial print run of 30,000 rising to 100,000 after a year.

The editorial team is lead by Conde Nast's GQ Active former managing editor Rebecca Martin, with Radio Five Live film reviewer Rich Kline, and agony aunt and sex expert Karen Krizanovich and LBC News Radio cinema correspondent Carol Allen.

Take 1 will contain 64 pages of editorial to 20 pages of advertising an issue and launches on June 17.
