Weekender: Ikea exhibition, Range Rover hits the road, and Cadbury goes Creme Egg crazy

This weekend (23-24 January) sees Ikea put the fun back into storage, Range Rover continue its #hibernot campaign, and Cadbury unveil its Creme Egg café.

Head to The Proud Archivist in London’s Dalston for the final day of Ikea’s first-ever gallery exhibition, The Collection on Saturday, where visitors can expect collections of taxidermy, toy soldiers, Lego magazines and Spice Girls memorabilia.

The activity aims to showcase the joy that can be experienced in storing and displaying collectors' items, and each collection has been carefully styled by a member of Ikea’s storage team.

Land Rover unveiled five Private View square frames at , and the brand is now taking them on tour as part of its #hibernot campaign, which encourages people to get out and make the most of the cooler months. 

The handmade frames, which are designed to showcase particular sights, will embark on a UK tour this weekend, with locations such as Brighton, Birmingham, Edinburgh, London’s South Bank and St Paul's all on the agenda.

Cadbury’s highly anticipated Creme Egg café pop-up will open its doors on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from this week, where it will remain for seven weeks.

Creme Egg toasties will be served from a takeaway café on the ground floor, and a sit-down space on the first floor will provide the aforementioned toasties, as well as a Creme Egg tray bake and strawberries Creme Egg creation. The top floor will house a ball pit, perfect for those looking to unleash their inner child.

The Adventure Travel Show

One for those with the wanderlust, the annual Adventure Travel Show returns to London this weekend. Panasonic is sponsoring this year’s event along with the tourist boards of countries such as Jordan, Africa and the Australian regions of the Northern Territory and South Australia. 

Attendees will be able to peruse the exhibition stands of the show’s many travel companies, as well as sit in on free travel focused talks and seminars covering adventure photography, filming and planning, among others.
