The Echo, which is set to launch in the UK this month, is a voice-activated home speaker system that includes a personal voice assistant similar to Apple’s Siri. Users can ask the device questions and get information such as recipes, or give commands such as playing a certain music.
Dallaire said the marketing opportunity for brands lies in building up the types of skills available on the device.
