Vodafone UK signs deal with Apple for iPhone

LONDON - Vodafone has secured a deal with Apple to sell the iPhone in the UK early next year.

Vodafone UK signs deal with Apple for iPhone

The deal follows yesterday's announcement that Orange will also sell the mobile, breaking O2's exclusive UK partnership with Apple.

Vodafone's global brand director David Wheldon said the iPhone had ‘rattled up the market'.

However, Apple is expected to set tight rules on pricing so that operators do not offer the iPhone free on low cost tariffs and devalue the brand.

Vodafone now offers iPhone through thirteen of its operating companies.
