Vodafone is to drop the Vizzavi brand name and fold the operation into its own multimedia content service Vodafone Live! A spokesperson said both UK managing director Geraldine Wilson and Guy Laurence, Vizzavi Europe chief executive, would retain positions within Vodafone. Last week, Vodafone paid Vivendi Universal EUR142.7 million (£90.5 million) cash for its 50 per cent stake in the company and took on Vizzavi's debts to Vivendi, which at the end of March were EUR320 million (£202.8 million).
