Visit Scotland talks to ad agencies

LONDON - Visit Scotland, the tourism agency for Scotland, has approached a number of agencies as it reviews its direct, digital and sales promotion business.

The review is expected to result in the appointment of agencies to support the agency's above-the-line advertising, which is handled by the Scotland-based agency 1576.

WWAV Rapp Collins Scotland handles Visit Scotland's direct marketing business and BD Network looks after sales promotion.

Visit Scotland wants to hire agencies with abilities to target specific audiences with different messages about what Scotland can offer. These elements include historical attractions; city and culture, and outdoor activities. It will also look to join these elements together through a binding campaign idea that can run across all elements.

Visit Scotland would only confirm that the tender was in progress. 1576 is understood to be unaffected by the review.
