LONDON (Brand Republic) - Virgin Mobile has launched a Wap portal giving mobile phone users access to 12 websites.

The portal connects to sites such as lastminute.com and IPC’s listings and entertainment site UnmissableTV.com. The portal also provides access to the rest of the internet via Yahoo! UK.

The idea behind the portal, called Virgin Mobile Recommends, is to give customers a simple way to use Wap.
