Virgin Media expands retail phone presence

LONDON - Virgin Media has formed a partnership with mobile phone retailer Phones 4u that will see it take over shop space in six stores for a six-month period.

Each of the stores, all located in the North West, have been refurbished with Virgin Media branding to showcase its range of products - including digital TV, video-on-demand, broadband, home phone and mobile.

The Phones 4u stores will appear to be split in half to shoppers and will also include a Virgin Media logo on the shop's front.

The trial went live from 1 February and, if successful in the initial six stores, will be extended further into Phones 4u's nationwide estate.

Virgin Media currently has 13 dedicated stores and 91 concessions in music retailer Zavvi stores.
