The Liquid Way will support Sir Richard Branson's space travel company at the International Astronautical Congress (IAC), taking place in Glasgow from 29 September to 3 October.
The agency will showcase Virgin Galactic's vision of space travel and its plans to offer private space flights within the next two years. In July, Virgin Galactic unveiled the ‘mothership', WhiteKnightTwo (WK2), from which its space shuttle, SpaceShipTwo, will be launched into orbit at an altitude of 50,000ft.
"Virgin Galactic's presence at the IACC represents an important step in our quest to launch the world's first private, environmentally benign, space access system," said Virgin Galactic V-P of marketing Susan Newsam. "It's important that our presence there both captures the excitement of space travel and effectively demonstrates the seriousness of our proposition."
The IAC (www.iac2008.co.uk), taking place at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre, will play host to 2,000 experts including astronauts, space agencies, scientists, engineers and technology specialists. As well as a space technology exhibition, it will include a programme of public events.
