VideoJug in new syndication deal

LONDON - VideoJug, the "how to" video website led by ex-Hearst Digital managing director Nancy Cruickshank, has signed five content syndication agreements, which could potentially boost its global audience to 60 million viewers per month.

The site, which runs with the subhead "Life explained. On film", has struck deals with Yahoo, Tiscali, WikiHow, Kontraband and WonderHowTo. Content will be sourced from VideoJug's library of 45,000 films and will go live on the partner sites within the next few weeks.

VideoJug films are now syndicated on 27 platforms globally, including MySpace, MSN and YouTube.

Under its partnerships, the site provides relevant video content to each syndication partner in return for licence fees or a share of advertising revenues.

Launched in 2006 and split into categories including health, DIY and food and drink, the site offers a variety of video guides and "ask the expert" interviews.

In June, VideoJug appointed Greenlight to handle its paid search activity ahead of the launch of a new range of video advertisement formats.
