Dawn broke at 6.51am on Monday (23 January) when juice brand Tropicana raised a huge 'sun' art installation over Trafalgar Square.

The 200sqm glowing sun was suspended from a crane metres from Nelson’s Column to launch Tropicana’s ‘Brighter Mornings’ campaign. It was created by UK art collective Greyworld over six months and weighed more than 2,500kg.

Freud Communications was the lead agency for the stunt, while Initials Experience supported with brand amplification.

Passers-by could watch the sunrise from Tropicana deckchairs with branded sunglasses and blankets, and were encouraged to take the best snaps from designated ‘perfect photo points’ around the square.

The sun glowed periodically throughout the day and set again 7.33pm. Brand ambassadors handed out more than 35,000 cartons and bottles of Tropicana during the day.
