Mark Ronson and A-Trak will deliver the performance at the Our House stage on 23 August. It will be live-streamed from the festival's Chelmsford site in Essex, enabling those who are unable to attend the festival to experience the set as though they were there.
Four cameras will be used to capture the performance, and the footage will be combined with the live stream, which will be powered onsite.
The Our House stage, which takes its inspiration from an old school block party, will host a series of other acts, including Skepta, Work It with Siobhan Bell and DJ A Skillz.
Virgin Media will also provide free wi-fi and mobile recharge points, meanwhile Virgin Media Angels will be on hand to help attendees with their luggage, directions and more.
Ronson said: "I became a DJ because I fell in love with hip-hop, while growing up in New York and listening to all the legendary NY DJs, like Red Alert, Funk Flex & Stretch Armstrong.
"I wanted to bring a taste of that musical heritage to V Festival this year. I cannot wait to perform on Virgin Media’s Our House stage with my homeboy A-Trak – it’s going to be live."
V Festival is set to take place at Hylands Park in Chelmsford, Essex and Weston Park in Staffordshire on the 22-23 August.
