The event, which was organised in house by V Festival, saw VIPs, festival partners and press gather to listen to MTV DJ and presenter Becca Dudley host an evening of food, drink and announcements, supported by Club MTV.
Dudley announced the headline acts for 2015, which include Calvin Harris and Kasabian, who will perform at the festival's two sites – Hylands Park in Chelmsford and Weston Park, Staffordshire – on 22 and 23 August. This was closely followed by an exclusive screening of a film dedicated to celebrating 20 years of V Festival.
Guests were also treated to the culinary delights of up-and-coming celebrity chef, 20-year-old Luke Thomas, as well as lager and cider from Carling and a V Festival cocktail from Smirnoff and Mahiki. XL Video supplied screens for the event while Neg Earth provided lighting.
As part of this year’s V Festival the Glee Club Comedy Tent will be returning as the event’s fifth stage, as well as V Style camping, which will give festival goers the chance to experience a mix of music and comedy as well as relaxing at pampering stations and ready-built bell tents, huts and luxury yurts.
Brand activations planned for V Festival 2015 include Virgin Media's Our House party concept, a surprise experience from Carling, Coca-Cola's Share a Coke party pod and the Every Can Counts’ ‘Can You Kick It’ inflatable football challenge.
The V Festival 2015 launch event was supported by agency Cake, which was appointed as the event's PR agency earlier this year.
