The venue consortium generated £63m worth of events business in 2010.

More than 400 guests mingled with representatives from all 73 member-venues, while enjoying entertainment from Prelude and Sternberg Clarke, and indulging in birthday cocktails and canapés from The Recipe.

After the cutting of the five-tier Konditor & Cook birthday cake, guests carried on the party under the venue's central dome where The Recipe served up samples of its 2011 menu from three different food stations.

Floral displays were supplied by Simon J Lycett and The Urban Flower Firm; lighting and production by White Light and Focus; music from Music by arrangement; furniture by Great Hire; and catering equipment by Jones.

"We’re thrilled with the turnout and success of our party which saw so many clients, members and suppliers join us to toast UVL’s successes to date," said UVL chairman and London Eye corporate sales manager Lisa Hatswell.

"It was a great chance for us to look back at all the accomplishments over the years, recognise all the people that have helped us to grow to an organisation which generated £63million in events in 2010, and look ahead at all we can still become."
