Utarget sold 50Connect.co.uk in January 2006, but since then has managed content and sales for the website under contract. That contract expired as of November 1.
Utarget Media now plans to concentrate on its stable of consumer websites, including TravelConnect.co.uk, FinanceDaily.co.uk, KeeptheDoctorAway.co.uk, UrbanPlanet.co.uk, JustOverseas.co.uk and JustCompetitions.co.uk.
Utarget chief executive Phil Cooper said the websites had expanded rapidly since their launch 12 months ago.
He said: “Month on month the websites are growing in terms of users, content, and revenue generated and we are now looking forward to concentrating our expertise on building up these websites to become leading online brands.”
Utarget Media aims to have online video players available on all of its websites by the end of the year. The company also plans to launch two niche consumer websites in 2008.
