Usain Bolt record attempt to use Event Floor

The fastest man on the planet is using UK-based Event Floor to help break the 150m world record in May.

Usian Bolt's run in the streets of Manchester requires a level ground to qualify for an official record attempt. Race organiser Nova International has brought in Event Floor to install its ‘event deck and level leg systems' to transform a city road into a running track for a day.

The track has to be laid in just 24 hours - and de-rigged within 12 - in time to get the Monday morning rush hour traffic moving once more.

The track base will be elevated from ground level to 1100 mm to allow a perfectly flat running surface - and eliminate the road camber.
