Universal won the account in a pitch against the Aegis-owned Carat, Omnicom’s Manning Gottlieb OMD and Brilliant Media.

The buying account had previously been split between Universal and Carat with Universal handling press and broadcast buying and Carat the online and outdoor.

MG OMD will continue to handle media planning, which was not included in the review.

The Carbon Trust kicked off the review last December, a month after it appointed Simeen Kadi as its interim head of marketing

In March 2008, The Carbon Trust appointed WCRS to handle its creative. The agency beat Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/Y&R and the incumbent, VCCP, to become the lead agency on the account.
