The merger of CMP Information and CMP Europe will create a new business called the Property Group, which will be based at CMP Information's head office in Ludgate House, London, also home to Richard Desmond's Daily Express.
The merger sees the departure of Clive Ellings, executive director for CMP Europe, who is to pursue other interests outside the company. He will remain working with Paul Thandi, CMP's executive director responsible for the Property Group, until the integration transition period has concluded.
Bernard Gray, chief executive of CMP Information, said: "In this dynamic environment, all efforts need to be pulled together to concentrate on developing and growing our business for the future. It will help us drive all parts of our business forward in a coordinated way, benefiting our business, our team, our external partners and, more importantly, our customers."
CMP Information also publishes the business magazine Pulse, Building Design, Chemist & Druggist as well as running a number of exhibitions including CPhI, FIE, The Furniture Show, ATC, Confex and Ifsec. CMP Europe is behind such events as ECTS, the leading trade event for the interactive entertainment industry as well as a number of IT events such as Technology for Marketing and Networks for Business.
