NOP launches global CRM consultancy

LONDON - NOP World, the market research division of United Business Media, has launched a new global research-based consulting business focusing on services in brand strategy, customer loyalty and CRM.

RoperNOP Consulting will be headquartered in Waltham, Massachusetts, and will be headed by Richard Hermon-Taylor, a consultant with more than 30 years' experience. He has previously worked at Boston Consulting Group and Abt Associates, as well as at his own consulting practice.

NOP World is the first global top 10 research group to offer high-end consulting to its customers. As well as offering its services to existing clients, the business will hope to attract new customer relationships, which will generate new revenue streams for NOP World research companies.

Direct marketing sits at the heart of NOP's new business. Based on NOP's capabilities in the fields of customer satisfaction and loyalty, RoperNOP will offer off-the-shelf and customised services to companies looking to place the customer at the centre of their strategy.

Simon Chadwick, CEO of NOP World, said: "I have long believed that there is a substantial market for services that span the gap between high-end strategic market research and management consulting. Our client research has resoundingly confirmed this. I am delighted that NOP World will be the first global research company to offer this facility to its clients. The team with which we are launching this business is highly experienced and well regarded, and I look forward with them to its future success."

NOP manages some of the largest data collection resources in the industry and has developed a range of sophisticated techniques for analysing and delivering data.

In 2001, NOP World鈥檚 revenues were 拢194.9m, with profits of 拢23.8m.
