The site, which will be launched in late autumn, is one of the first wins for the agency since staff from the recently closed Lowe Group new-media shop Head New Media joined it.
The win comes as Underwired launches a new site for face mask manufacturer Respro. Respro produces anti-pollution masks worn by cyclists and motorbike riders.
Jason Holland, formerly creative director of Head New Media, originally designed the Respro site.
Holland said, "The original Respro site won an EPICA Gold and got into the D&AD Annual and we've had the attitude that if it ain't broke, don't fix it. But after five years, the range has been radically extended so it's been a very challenging project to revisit. We did a lot of customer research and, because of the wide variety of users, we opted to stick to HTML rather than Flash for the new production."
E-commerce usability testing is currently under way for implementation before Christmas, using Underwired's proprietary Virtual Turkey panelist base of 2,000 UK web users.
