UK ad agencies and studios join the battle for a Design Lion at Cannes

This year's Design Lions category at Cannes features 25 UK entries on the shortlist.

Entries from advertising agencies and design studios are both well represented on the list of nominations for the best design work of the last year.

UK ad agencies on the shortlist include Adam&EVE/DDB, Ogilvy & Mather London, Leo Burnett London, Publicis London and TBWA\London.

Design studios on the shortlist include Peterborough-based Horse, Here Design and DesignStudio.

Google’s London-based Creative Lab is also on the shortlist for its "Inside Abbey Road" work for Abbey Road Studios, which included an interactive walkthrough of the famous recording studios on its website.

The US led the way in the Design Lions category, with 39 entries, closely followed by Japan (36) and Germany (27).
