From 11am, Uber will place five one-off prints on the backseats of select cars servicing customers across the city. These include works by artists and illustrators Polly Williams and Izzy Benn, as well as photographers Charlie Bard, Nick Jackson and Eugene Chan.

Those who happen to locate a work of art on the backseat of their Uber will be able to take it home with them.

Uber has teamed up with Creativepool and Suitcase Magazine for the initiative, which is set to hit Newcastle tomorrow (18 September) and has already visited Sheffield, Leeds, Birmingham and Manchester.

#BacksearArt is designed to celebrate each cities' art scene and showcase the work of local emerging artists.
