
The London-based start-up, which was founded in 2008 by Ian Dodsworth, allows users to "tweet like a pro", by customising their Twitter experience, by creating columns, groups, saved searches and automatic updates, as well as integrating it with Facebook, LinkedIn and MySpace contacts.

Last month, it was reported that UberMedia, a California-based app developer, was in talks to buy TweetDeck, having previously acquired other Twitter developer properties, UberTwitter and EchoFon.
However, that could compete with Twitter, according to a report on CNN.
Twitter itself has been rumoured to have attracted takeover interest from Facebook and Google. However, founder Biz Stone has denied this.
Twitter, which recently turned five years old, is putting together a sales team based in the UK and is currently hunting for a European sales house based in London.
TweetDeck did not respond to requests for comment.
