Twenty set for Ofex listing with eye on market research and data acquisitions

LONDON - A new company is set to list on Europe's small-capitalisation market Ofex with the intention of acquiring marketing services agencies, especially those working in market research, customer intelligence and data.

Twenty intends to invest in diversified marketing services business, with the objective of being able to offer a range of marketing communication functions to clients. It will focus on the UK at first, with the intention to go international later.

The listing, scheduled for June 23, will give the company 拢440,000 in funds. The company plans to look for companies that have established track records, with a focus on marketing data and intelligence used for one-to-one marketing.

Twenty has been established by Ian Lancaster, who was co-founder of Virgin Cars in 2000. He takes the role of chief executive at Twenty. He also helped found the IT consultancy Ultimate Perspective Group, which was sold in 2000.

Joining him on the board will be Mark Patron, who founded the data companies Claritas UK and Abacus Europe, and also co-founded Claritas Europe. Claritas was sold to VNU in 1995 for 拢50m.

"This is an opportune time for Twenty to list on Ofex, given the number of potentially attractive investment opportunities in the marketing services sector in the UK.

"The strong board is dedicated to working diligently towards forwarding the company's growth and providing exceptional value for our shareholders through future acquisitions," Lancaster said.
