He joins from brand management consultancy TMH, where he was client services director and director of brand strategy. Whitworth has also worked on through-the-line regional campaigns for FMCG brands, including Kellogg's and Heinz.
Separately, two more people have also been elected to the Dubai office -- Tulsa Woodham has been appointed account director, and Leigh Evans joins as creative director.
Woodham joins Turquoise from TMH, alongside Whitworth. He has worked in branding and creative services for over seven years, managing accounts from Multiplex in Australia to Nakheel and Oman Tourism Corporation in the Middle East.
Evans joins from brand consultancy GSCS, with more than 15 years of international experience in design and brand strategy.
Sharon Wheeler, chief executive of Turquoise, said: "We are extremely pleased to have recruited three such well-established marketers, each of whom has an excellent reputation in the region.
"As we continue to see Turquoise Dubai grow it is important to have strong senior people on the ground with the right mix of experience, skills and enthusiasm to drive the business even further."
