Trinity Mirror said it had suspended publications of the Lanarkshire World, Perth Shopper, Stirling Shopper, Renfrewshire World, Clyde Weekly News and Dumfries and Galloway Today.
The last publishing dates for the titles will be 9 September this year.
The move will mean the possible loss of three clerical roles and two distribution roles and the company has entered into consultation with the affected staff. No journalists have been impacted by the move.
Trinity Mirror said that it could possibly reintroduce the titles pending an improvement in the regional newspaper market.
Trinity Mirror, like a number of major regional publishers, has been hit hard by a tough advertising market and the shift of readers from print to online.
The move by Trinity Mirror follows that of an editorial restructure earlier this year at the company, which prompted the loss of over 80 journalist jobs at the Scottish Daily Record and the Sunday Mail newspaper titles.
