The pair will join Clare Gledhill, who was promoted to group account director earlier in the year, in Trinity Mirror Solutions’ agency hub teams.
The teams are part of a new structure introduced by James Wildman, who was named the chief revenue officer last year. He has been turning the team into a "cross-channel and cross-brand sales solution service".
Gledhill, Coomansingh and Callaghan will lead dedicated sales teams for each major media agency in the UK across Trinity Mirror’s news brands.
Callaghan joins the company this month and began her career in the press team at PHD. In her seven years at the agency she has worked for Expedia, Canon, Sony Mobile, Smart Energy, British Heart Foundation and Heal’s.
Coomansingh will join in July. He joined Bauer Media ten years ago when it was known as Emap. He has also worked at UTV’s TalkSport and ZenithOptimedia.
Andy Atkinson, the sales director at Trinity Mirror Solutions, said: "We’ve had a massive turnaround in the last 12 months and are confident that with our most recent hires Emma and Darren we’ve got the right structure in place to help continue to drive positive change in our business."
