Trinity gives Scots titles web overhaul

Scottish and Universal Newspapers, owned by Trinity Mirror, is rolling out new websites for all 17 of its paid-for titles north of the border.

The firm hopes the new websites will engage online readers by encouraging feedback and user involvement, as well as providing material for its traditional print brands.

The first website to be relaunched was www.hamiltonadvertiser.co.uk, which attracted 20,000 unique users in its first month.

The website for the firm's largest-selling weekly paper, the Ayrshire Post, is next in line for a makeover, followed by the Paisley Daily Express. The remaining websites will be phased in over the summer.
