Clapp will join in mid-2009, and will work closely alongside the existing creative director, John Treacy, who has led Elvis' creative team since the agency was founded in 2003.

Spike was launched in the summer of 2008 as a digital resource for Elvis, and has since won new business of its own for Virgin Trains, Which? and Electronic Arts.

It was founded by Richard Neville and Craig Morgan, who was previously Tribal DDB's client services director.

Clapp leaves Tribal after eight years at the agency. He was made creative director in 2004 and has since won a number of awards.
