Baudis joins as executive managing director Europe and will oversee the company's launch in the UK and Germany later this year, followed by other European countries in 2009.
Tremor Media has posted rapid growth in the US and claims to market one billion videostreams per month.
Most recently, he directed Google's business in the German market. Prior to this, Baudis directed advertising sales at pan-European TV group ProSiebenSat.1 Media and founded El Cartel Media, the TV sales house for one of Germany's leading TV channels RTL II.
The success of Tremor Media's services in the US has led to TV spending being shifted online, with major brand labels making a place for the company in their 2009 TV upfront talks. Sales volume is expected to reach $2.5bn on the European growth market by 2012.
