Travelodge appoints Rapier to digital advertising account

LONDON - Travelodge, the budget hotel chain, has appointed Rapier to handle its digital advertising business.

Rapier picked up the account following a pitch against undisclosed agencies.

The agency will take responsibility for developing Travelodge's website, which was redesigned in May 2008 in an effort to improve its functionality.

In recent years, Travelodge has used several different agencies to work on its digital projects, including Swordfish, Twentysix London and Doner Cardwell Hawkins.

The company is also currently in the process of reviewing its TV advertising arrangements, after calling a pitch for the business in November last year.

Krow, Mother, M&C Saatchi, Rapier and Doner Cardwell Hawkins are competing for the business.
