Jeff Ford, Channel 5 director of programmes, has resigned from his position at the Richard Desmond-owned broadcaster. ()

David Emin, advertising chief at Mirror Group Newspapers (MGN), has been promoted to managing director Trinity Mirror National sales, as part of the next tier of structural changes implemented by Simon Fox, chief executive. ()

Facebook's top executive in Europe, Joanna Shields, is leaving to spearhead the Government's scheme to create a 'Silicon Valley' cluster of technology businesses in East London. ()

Vevo, the music video site, has hired Errol Baran, former head of future and digital media advertising at Channel 4, as its new commercial director. ()

Tim Davie, the BBC's director of audio and music, is to become chief executive of BBC Worldwide, succeeding John Smith who is leaving the corporation after 23 years. ()

MediaCom has promoted Phil Hall, Jem Lloyd Williams, Sarah Treliving and Nick Jefferies to its managing partner board. (Media Week)

Clear Channel Outdoor has appointed Alex Hollingdale, currently proposition and profitability director at telecoms firm TalkTalk, to the new role of product director. ()

Special interest publisher Future has promoted James Ranson to the role of sales director at its London office. ()
