McCann has promoted its New York and London creative chief Linus Karlsson to chief creative officer for global brands.Karlsson, who was hired by the agency from Mother New York in November 2010, has also been appointed to the rotating chairmanship of the agency's Creative Leadership Collective. In addition, Andreas Dahlqvist has been appointed as deputy chief creative officer for global brands and will retain his role as vice-chairman of McCann New York. (±±¾©Èü³µpk10)

Proximity has boosted its management team by appointing Gabrielle Moss as deputy managing director. It has also appointed Darren Burnett from Elvis as planning partner to oversee the agency's Lloyds account. (±±¾©Èü³µpk10)

Chris Lawson, director of content sales and marketing at Guardian News and Media, is leaving the publisher after two years to "explore new opportunities", prompting a restructure of its marketing department. David Pemsel, who has been with the group since September 2011 in a commercial and strategic consultancy role, has now taken a long-term contract as chief marketing officer, to assist with the restructuring of the department. ()

Volkswagen has appointed former Ford marketer Jürgen Stackmann to head up global marketing at the car marque, succeeding Luca de Meo, who joins the management board at sister brand Audi. ()

Simon Francis, chief executive of Aegis Media across Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) is leaving the company by mutual consent, effective immediately. Francis' role will be assumed by Nigel Morris, who currently runs the Americas region for the group. Morris will continue to be based in the Aegis Media offices in New York. ()

Graham Duff, the UK and Europe managing director at Miroma, is to step back from his full time role at the barter company to take the role of non-executive chairman, where he will continue to report to Miroma boss and co-founder Marc Boyan. ()

Carat has promoted Adrian English to the role of head of media investment as part of a series of internal moves. Steven Ballinger has been promoted to head of broadcast and Lorna Cheetham to head of digital operations, and Glyn Shadwell has also joined as business director from McCann Erickson. ()
